5 WAYS I HAVE IMPROVED MY SLEEP




I have struggled for many years to get quality sleep, though lately I see to be sleeping better than before. Although I do wake up 1-2 times throughout the evening I get settled easily to drift off to sleep.

Go to sleep when tired

No matter the time go to sleep when you start to feel sleepy. Often if you hold out to stay awake longer this may be detrimental to gaining a decent nights sleep.


Drop your caffeine intake 

Try to limit or omit your caffein intake after 2 or 3 pm for a decent nights sleep.


Write thoughts down

To eliminate overthinking jot down your thoughts to consider in the morning by leaving a notepad by your bed or type in your notes on your phone. This helps clear your mind for a more restful mind.


Try not to look at your phone 

Of course I ted to look at my phone during the night mainly to look at the time. Try to avoid looking at your phone when you wake by playing on 'do not disturb' so notifications are not visible to take your focus away from getting a restful nights sleep.

Buy a sleep mask

A sleep mask is soothing for me. Having a mask on as daylight breaks is crucial to sleeping a little longer.
