10 BEAUTY tips to share

Overtime we pick up tips and tricks from the beauty queens on TIKTOK, podcasts, Facebook pages ( You Beauty ).  I have learnt many tips over time. I enjoy make up and have been someone who has looked after my skin since my early teens.

1. Many people reach for dry shampoo to soak up oils to keep your hair looking fresh in between washes. Did you know that baking soda or baby powder will give the same results with out an aerosol. Many of us like to give our hair a rest with our own natural oils from washing daily. This is where you comb through the baking soda or baby powder at the roots and then blow dry for a few seconds with cool air to lift.

2. For dry calluses or heels, run a razor or skin file to smooth back hard skin. Moisturiser with pawpaw, or vaseline a quick fix. For a treatment slather your dry and hard places on your feet with a super rich moisturiser and wear socks overnight. Wake with smoother heels and dry patches.

3. For a quick fix on makeup mistake place a cotton tip with a little drop of sorbolene to remove what you do not wish to be there. Make up remover will also work.

4. If the shade of your foundation is a little darker than you would like, mix with a little sorbolene before applying to your face.

5. If eyebrows are hard to tame, smooth with a little sorbolene or vaseline to keep their shape.

6. For the final step of your hair style add a little spray of your fragrance above your head for the droplets to fall on your head.

7. If your skin is super dry and your favourite lotion is not moisturising enough add a little baby oil.

8. For crisp smooth lines with an eye, brow or lip liner place them in the freezer for 15 minutes before applying.

9. Apply tea tree oil to pimples to help dry them for faster healing.

10. For a quick fix of fly aways rub your hands with a little moisturiser and smooth over your hair.

11. Use a red lipstick to add a little glow to your cheeks instead of blush.

Tips from around the blogosphere -

* To fade away fake tan when it is streaking apply baking soda on a loofah and buff away.

* Cinnamon is an active ingredient found in lip enhancers so why not add a few sprinkles to your gloss.

* Press a green teabag (cooled) to reduce puffiness or redness. The antioxidants in the tea will help the inflammation.

* Have no shaving cream, why not use conditioner, My daughters and I use sorbolene.

* Boost your hair shine with vinegar by adding one part vinegar and 4 parts carbonated water. Leave on 15 minutes and then shampoo and condition as normal.
